Tom Campagna

Broker Associate

I have worked in every aspect of real estate for 40+ years and bring every minute of that experience to each and every one of my clients. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Seattle University.

I am a real estate broker who has owned a mortgage company, three real estate companies, as well as, a relocation company, property management division, and development company. I have trained hundreds of agents and sold hundreds of homes, land, and commercial buildings. I can anticipate pitfalls and guide a buyer or seller through the whole process with as few surprises as possible.

I am proud to say I am known for honesty, friendship, and successful outcomes.

I tell my clients the truth, even if it's not what thy'd like to hear. Very often, I tell clients whether I think they should buy at this time or buy a particular property. I'm building a long-term relationship so I owe clients my very best perspective. What I strive for is loyalty and referral business. Many of my clients go on to become my friends.

At the end of the day, it takes great negotiating skill to succeed in real estate.

The secrets to being a good negotiator are to listen and be very observant. What someone says - even their body language - guides how you approach the negotiation. You've got to know when to just listen, what to say and when to be quiet. A good negotiation leaves everyone satisfied and feeling like the deal is fair.

I fight the fight for my clients

Some real estate transactions go smoothly from start to finish. But sometimes, a transaction can be jeopardized by the escrow process, title report, appraisal, lender, other Realtor®, inspections, etc. That's where the breadth of experience comes into play. Knowing how to diffuse situations, solve problems, work with people and keep the process moving.

My job is to alleviate the stress from my clients and help them reach their real estate goals.

I tell my clients that it's my job to do the worrying for them. They can rest assured, I am attending to every detail and will contact them if I need their help or some information. I return calls promptly and do what I say I'm going to do. They easy part is finding the home. The difficult part is making sure every detail, every deadline and every expectation is met.

I believe in giving back to the community

One of several rewarding things I have done has been the opportunity to serve as the president of the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce and I am honored to be the recipient of the coveted Spirit of Marin Award as the #1 Business Person Volunteer for 2013.

A Peace Corps volunteer and a proud father.

In 1968-69, I worked as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in the remote Sierra Madre mountain ranges of Panama. There I worked with local villages to establish six co-operatives - one of those was a credit and savings co-op. All six are still operational today.

The pride of my life are my two grown children Joe and Nina whoa re a pleasurable source of inspiration. And I enjoy expressing my Italian heritage through my cooking for my family and friends.
